Read The Room was born from a collaboration between Ryan Lewis and Linda Uribe, from a shared fatigue with the great beige avalanche of mass production. We wanted objects with pulse. Pieces that could not be summoned by a lazy Google search or replicated by the thousand in a warehouse aisle. Some are old, some are new, many are handmade, and all have been chosen because they carry that increasingly rare quality: presence. Collected through travel, instinct, and a deep affection for human craft, Read The Room is a study in the mix: furniture, objects, and art, memory, humor, and a point of view. Because anything made by hand carries the trace of a life, and that, to us, is where the real interest begins.
