Exceptional vintage campaign lounge chair and matching ottoman from the highly collectible “Far Horizons” collection designed by John Wisner for Ficks Reed, circa 1955.
Executed in richly toned rattan with brass accents, this rare seating series reflects the sophisticated resort and safari-inspired aesthetic that defined much of Wisner’s celebrated mid-century work. The sculptural silhouette, warm patina, and refined proportions give the piece a timeless presence across a range of interiors.
Upholstered in Kravet Galileo Spice fabric, complementing the warmth and depth the rattan has developed over decades of age and use. Beautiful tonal variation throughout the frame further highlights the exceptional craftsmanship associated with mid-century Ficks Reed production.
Increasingly difficult to source, particularly as a complete chair and ottoman set, these pieces are substantial, comfortable, and suitable for everyday use.
